High-power electrode paste is a crucial material used in metallurgical processes. It's primarily made by dry-mixing raw materials such as anthracite, coke, and petroleum coke, then adding a binder (like asphalt or coal tar) and kneading them together. It features low ash content, low resistivity, strong electrical and thermal conductivity, and resistance to oxidation and corrosion. It's mainly used as self-baking electrodes in large closed and open iron alloy furnaces, ferrosilicon and ferromanganese furnaces, metallurgical silicon furnaces, and yellow phosphorus furnaces. Current passes through the electrode into the furnace to generate an arc for smelting.
